DJ Self Born was recruited in 2020 by legendary Chicago group and his old friends, ‘Abstract Mindstate’ for the exceptional and seminal album “Dreams Still Inspire”. DJ Self Born co-produced the album with global star ‘Kanye West’. Kanye West produced all of the tracks and DJ SELF BORN provided all of the scratches.
Now in 2022 and after sharing the stage with stars like 50 Cent & G-Unit, Jay-Z & Rocafella and Wu Tang Clan, DJ Self Born has released a breakthrough new record entitled “Heaven is a studio, GOD is a DJ”.
DJ Self Born has been DJ’ing in many arenas from Radio and nightclubs to corporate and private
events where he is known as the “celebrity’s favorite”. He was recently spotted playing live for celebrities like Vanessa Bell Calloway, Gabrielle Union, actors Tony Rock, Donnell Rawlings as well as sport figures Dwayne Wade and Hall of Famer Warren Sapp. Not to mention the work he has done with legendary artists within the Hip Hop community from the East to West Coast.

DJ SELF BORN was born and raised on Chicago’s Southside and has been described as a ‘one man band’, who also spends time as an instructor for Jam Master J’s “DJ Scratch Academy.” DJ SELF BORN‘s reputation has grown over the years leading to him becoming a touring DJ legend and now a music producer who has worked with Kanye West and other legends.
