Side Effects’: Jason Kushy Delivers Two-Track Tech House Release

Jason Kushy releases Side Effects through OMNIX Records, under exclusive license to Universal Music Ltda. Featuring two tracks, “No Distractions” and “Veneno,” the tech house EP marks the next chapter in a musical journey spanning more than a decade behind the decks.

Side Effects expands a catalogue rooted in club energy, melodic accessibility and the connection between DJ and audience. It follows his Beatport-charting Keep It Moving EP and a series of original releases that have introduced his music to listeners worldwide.

Based in Monterey, California, and raised in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, Kushy began teaching himself to DJ at around age 11, using an $80 mixer in his parents’ basement. By eighth grade, he had already started his own DJ business. Following persistent outreach to Wesley Works Entertainment, he began playing weddings, proms and parties as a teenager, developing his ability to read a room years before releasing his own records.

His original release catalogue began in 2025. Since then, he has surpassed one million Spotify streams and 120,000 monthly listeners, reaching more than 450,000 unique listeners over the past 12 months. His Keep It Moving EP on Direct Action Records peaked at No. 18 on Beatport’s Tech House Top 100 Releases chart.

His music has received support from Louis The Child, SIDEPIECE, Jauz, Wolfgang Gartner, Bingo Players, Bijou, Ship Wrek and San Holo, alongside repost support from Dim Mak, Insomniac Records, Barong Family and Space Yacht.

His catalogue includes “Gave It My All,” “I’m Okay” and “Close the Door,” alongside remixes of Fleetwood Mac, Pet Shop Boys, Hall & Oates, Natasha Bedingfield and Sean Paul. His music and story have also been featured by Melodic Dancers, Lehigh Daily and Lehigh Valley Press.

Through Stay Kushy, he brings together original music, minimalist artwork and live sets featuring exclusive edits and custom visuals inspired by games, animation and pop culture. The project centres on authenticity, shared experiences and music that stays with listeners long after they leave the dance floor.
